The audacity of urgency

A Cabinet of Rivals, described president Lincoln.

Obama’s defense secretary, Robert Gates, is a being held over from the Bush administration, where he has won almost unanimous praise from Republicans and Democrats alike.

The incoming national security adviser, Jim Jones, has been friends with John McCain for nearly 30 years, advised the Republican nominee during the campaign and even appeared with him once on the campaign trail.

So who is next on the list? Sarah Palin?

Not one of president-elect Obama's finer moments in appointments if you ask me. Selecting a proven liar, cheat and thief to represent the US on an International scale speaks volumes to his his wisdom. But then again maybe it's not a bad thing if she takes the job and leaves the Senate Obama has one less worry from congressional blow back. Who knows if she screws this up Obama may just fire her putting an end to the Clinton polical careers entirely.

This can go one of two ways....either he's going to get slammed by both sides for not A) not being Liberal enough for his original supporters and B) not being conservative enough by the Ed Garland types or............he'll be successful operating from the middle and keeping everyone, at least marginally, happy.
