Presidente Elect Obama Meets the Press

In his first Sunday morning television interview since winning the election, President-elect Barack Obama discusses the economy, foreign policy and the upcoming transition of power.

“We’ve got to provide a blood infusion right now, make sure that the patient is stabilized. The economic recession will get significantly worse before it starts to improve. If you look at the unemployment numbers ... the fragility of the financial system and the fact that it’s an international system, the recession is a big problem, and it’s going to get worse” – BARACK OBAMA

Unfortunately, things have been so badly mismanaged for quite some time, that it is going to take a while to correct. I understand many don't want to admit that their ill-advised vote for Bush has created a horrible mess. I don't blame people for not admitting it, Bush sure won't.

We will have to learn to due with less and make the best of what is available. It's interesting that Osama Bin Laden wanted to create economic devastation in the USA and unfortunately that is what those in charge have done.

Those who created this mess need to be held accountable and monies that were misbegotten need to be retrieved. Give President Obama some time and I believe he will earn the respect he deserves.

might add, that Mr. Obama is asking everyone to sacrifice, yet, he is spending, double digit millions for his inaugural celebration..... COME ONE... you want us to sacrifice, and yet you do not. What kind of example does this set. Let me tell you, you are saying that all the little people must sacrifice, but the fat cats, politicians, and CEO's do not need to. I suggest you wave off all of the celebration, what is there to celebrate?

Make no mistake about it. Obama can spend money. What 700 million on a campaign? No. no, this man is not shy about bucks. He needs to make sure he gets some punch for the buck and it's wisely spent.

Try not to encite a civil war.

New people are coming in that will be honest (unlike Bush)
and they have assembled the best of the best (unlike Bush)

Try to be strong Americans and show the rest of the world, we can overcome the obsticles of greed and become an admired country throughout the world once again.
